In response to a question regarding what they would select as their major field of study, the men and women who are freshmen at this very moment offered the following responses.
- The Nebraska School Counseling Career Development Guide
The "Nebraska School Counseling Career Development Guide" discusses "skills for lifelong learning, earning, and living."
- Gresham Barlow School District Counseling Curriculum
The Gresham-Barlow School District in Oregon has developed a variety of materials for a Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Program.
- National Pacific Islander Educator Network
This site is sponsored by a Pacific Islander organization to share resources to assist student academic achievement.
- Concurrent Courses Initiative
This site was created to look at dual enrollment programs to enhance college and career pathways for low-income students.
- CareerSafe Online
The goal of the site is to provide high school and college students with the fundamentals of school safety in the workplace, including OSHA certification.
- "From Worker Bee to Who You Want to Be" workshop with Dr. Janet Wall, including free downloadable Powerpoint and PDF activities
Our audience response system evaluation indicated that 97% of workshop participants learned at least 3 new strategies, resources or information items that they could utilize when they got back to their school sites.

This site in English and Spanish provides teens and teachers with videos, guides, resource links, and answers about "wise money decisions."
- America's Best Colleges Rankings at U.S. News and World Report
U.S. News & World Report has devised a new way to rate colleges based on High School Counselor rankings.
- Career Convergence at NCDA Web Magazine
The Career Convergence Web Magazine provides an abundance of articles, media, and book reviews regarding careers.
- Young People Who Rock
Young People Who Rock is a weekly interview series focused on people under 30--from CEOs to entertainers to athletes to community and political leaders--who are doing remarkable things.
- Suggested Learning Activities to Accompany Getting Ready for Life after High School: Plan to Graduate with a Plan to Succeed 2008-2009 Edition
These forty-two (42) learning activities are designed to assist you in meeting the requirements of the Supplemental School Counseling Program under AB 1802 passed in June 2006. The activities are centered on academic planning, educational options, personal/social skills, career guidance activities, and career/technical education, including regional occupational centers and programs.
